Must have for removing adhesive!

I ordered a more expensive version from a competitor that I (un)fortunately returned because it arrived heavily used. After debating I decided to fo with this option because of the price point. I was not disappointed! This made quick work of removing old decals on my jeep and I will be using it to remove the transom lettering on my boat when we get some better weather. I would not hesitate to purchase again in the future but it seems like it will last for many uses. The boat is a much larger project so I will update accordingly and try to remember to snap some photos of the process.

WORKED WELL AND FAIR PRICE

I had removed factory side trim stripes from a 1997 Ford F150 because they were starting to loosen at the ends. This left a total of 8 strips of very heavy-duty adhesive strips on the doors and bed sides. After trying the usual household solvents that were rated safe for painted surfaces with no success, I ordered this. It took me approximately one- and one-half hours to remove all the adhesive strips with no noticeable damage to the 26-year-old paint. The minor residual smearing was removed with the household goo remover. I would recommend wearing a safety mask during the process because of the airborne dust.

Basically it works exactly like a eraser. As the vinyl disappears. Small pieces of light. Somewhat Sawdust. Flake off. I would guess one wheel could do six doors

A Godsend

This removed the black tar-like adhesive left by Guerilla All Weather tape from around my boat windows shown in about 40-50 minutes. I still had a bar left on my Makita battery. Unbelievable. I had previously used a 4 inch razor on a handle for 3 hours without going more than 3 feet and not getting it all off, all while damaging my deck. This wheel didn't hurt my boat deck at all. I think I can do all the windows before this wears out. Such a deal. Others have mentioned the wheel coming off the shank. Yeah that happens for the first minute or so, then it binds and you can spin the wheel in both directions without fear. You get the hang of it. It's easy to use. It's cheaper and less toxic than solvents. I just bought two more in case I can't find it again. If you are looking at this, you probably need it. Just buy this one. I can't believe it took this nasty adhesive off.

Best solution for removing pinstripes

We purchased a 2008 Conversion van than had some older style pinstripes that we wanted to remove. I had tried heat gun, razor etc. All were very slow and had the possibility of damaging the paint. I saw this on YT and ordered one. It is extremely easy to use and works quickly. It removes the stripe and adhesive all at once. Its a balance of patience and speed. The slotted edges allows you to see the stripe coming off and you move along as you remove the stripe. I would prefer a thinner wheel with out the solid middle but this worked really well

Does the Job!

My sons used these to remove the stripes from one of their Mustangs. They learned auto body from a family friend. Be careful if you have no experience because it can damage your paint if you don’t know what you’re doing.
